Massage Frequently asked questions
Q. Will it hurt?
A. Any kind of sports or deep tisue massage work can be uncomfortable although many clients say it is a good soreness. If it is uncomfortable then you just ask Nicola to ease up a bit, even though she is just a girl and you may be a 19 stone rugby player she won’t laugh. Seriously though too much pressure or too much pain is usually not good for trying to achieve a reduction in muscle tightness or ease muscles that were painful to start.
Q. What do I wear?
A. Best idea is loose fitting shorts and (if you are a female) a sports bra.
Q. Are there any side effects afterwards?
A. Possible a little tender if deep work has been done, headaches sometimes if you are dehydrated so best turn up hydrated and drink plenty of water (no not tea or diluting juice!) You ought to be drinking min 1.5 litres a day anyway so good time to start if you aren’t

Q. What if I am in pain and massage doesn’t fix it or it goes and comes back?
A. If this is happening or you have a problem that Nicola feels is not responding to massage or massage alone she will be honest with you and probably suggest she refers you to Guy for a consultation and different treatment.
